Where would rock and  roll be without Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham? Led Zeppelin’s influence can be heard in all genres of music from rap to rock n’ roll, from the Beastie Boys and P. Diddy to Lenny Kravitz and Metallica. Their music, considered heavy metal during their era, found it roots from old blues and British folk. They mixed rock and roll with heavy mysticism and mythology and created a truly definitive rock and roll sound. Led Zeppelin, who formed in England in1968, were together for 12 crazy years and managed to not only make 10 classic albums but also define a sound and genre for generations to come. The band ended the day the drummer, John Bonham, died from an alcohol related death. Plant had a solo career, while Page joined up with Paul Rodgers to create The Firm. John Paul Jones continued to produce and perform in various bands, but the remaining members never got back together to tour or record an album. They did reunite in the mid 80's to play Live Aid, but that was it.

Since then, Page and Plant have created a few albums and did the popular No Quarter album, which was a blend of MTV's Unplugged with the old songs of Zeppelin. John Paul Jones continues to produce songs for new artist and movies scores in popular film. Zeppelin's music continues to live on through today's artist, classic rock n' roll movies like "Almost Famous" and this awesome collection of rock n' roll apparel.
